The concept of Edge is built around harmonious integration with the surrounding landscape. Open planning, the absence of visual barriers, transparency, and natural light – all of this creates a sense of freedom, spaciousness, and unity.

Panoramic windows open up views and also serve as a source of passive solar heating, improving the building’s energy performance. Natural wood and stone add warmth and tactility, strengthening the connection to nature. Each material is treated in a way that reveals its true nature rather than hiding it — highlighting the texture and honesty of every surface. A calm color palette and organic textures support the idea of “less, but better.”

The backyard of Edge is a multifunctional area for relaxation, socializing, or solitude. A pool with sun loungers, a summer kitchen with a large table, a lounge zone with soft furniture and gentle lighting — everything is designed to accommodate various life scenarios.

From the outside, the house appears to be single-storey, but it has a basement level with a parking area, home cinema, bathroom, and utility rooms. Under current circumstances, this level can also serve as a shelter, as it includes two independent exits, enhancing safety.

Designing an open-space two-storey house required special attention to proportions, lighting, and privacy. The key was to balance the purity of form with a sense of warmth and comfort.

Working with natural materials demanded a careful selection and processing approach to ensure their durability and compliance with modern ecological standards.

Edge is a home for those who value simplicity, naturalness, and thoughtful design. It’s an architecture that doesn’t dominate — it interacts. A space where every element has purpose — from the placement of a window to the texture of the wood.
